2. Scope
These terms of use set out the distance-contract terms between us and you. The distance contract is governed by the Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 "Regulations Regarding Distance Contracts".
We provide language courses, teacher professional-development services, seminars and translation services.
A consumer for the purposes of these terms is a natural person who purchases a service for a purpose that is not related to that person's economic or professional activity. The rights provided for consumers apply only if you meet this definition.
3. Conclusion of the contract
By submitting a service order, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them.
The contract is concluded only when both of the following conditions have been fulfilled: full payment for the service has been received and an electronic participation confirmation has been sent to the email address provided at registration. The contract is concluded at the moment when the later of those two conditions occurs.
In the electronic participation confirmation that we send to the email address provided at registration, we include the information about the contract required by law, including the description of the service, the price and information about the right of withdrawal.
4. Prices
Service prices are stated in euro. The price shown on the website or in an individual offer is the final amount payable, and we do not add previously undisclosed charges to it.
Under the special procedure in Section 139² of the Latvian VAT Law, VAT is not charged on supported purchases in Latvia. This is not a 0% VAT rate or an exemption under Section 52 of the VAT Law. Eligible courses may be purchased by individuals and companies, whether or not they are VAT-registered. Foreign buyers may pay automatically only for admission to a physical event in Latvia that we have verified as eligible. Other cross-border purchases and Latvian budget institutions must contact us before payment to arrange an assisted purchase. An enquiry is not an order: it does not reserve a place, take payment or conclude a service contract.
5. Payment
A service may be paid for by bank link or payment card.
All currently purchasable paid services are subject to a single payment in full. Partial payments are not offered.
Bank-link payments are processed by Maksekeskus AS using the makecommerce.lv payment platform. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
The payment service provider may apply its own terms of use and data-processing terms.
6. Provision of the service
The type, scope, time, place or remote-access arrangements of the service are determined by the offer for the specific service and the contract confirmation.
We send the join link for an online class to the participant by email no later than the evening of the previous day. Information about in-person events is stated on the institution's website and in advertising, and we inform participants by email no later than five working days before the event. We provide learning materials gradually during the specific service on the participants' platform; immediate paid digital-material downloads are not provided after purchase.
If a certificate is provided for in the offer for the specific service, we send an electronic certificate within 10 working days after completion of the service. A paper certificate must be requested at least 14 days before completion of the service. If the offer does not provide for a certificate, this certificate-issue procedure does not apply.
We state the language of instruction and communication in the description of each service.
These terms apply to services. We do not send goods within the meaning of these terms.
7. Right of withdrawal
Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the distance contract within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving a reason.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an unambiguous notice to hello@eruditio.lv before the 14-day period expires, or use the withdrawal form. Further information is available on the Right of withdrawal page.
We refund payments received within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal notice. We make the refund using the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, and we do not charge a fee for the refund. If, at your express request, performance of the service began during the withdrawal period, the proportionate charge set out in section 8 applies.
If we have not provided the information about the right of withdrawal required by law, the withdrawal period is extended to one year in accordance with the procedure laid down by law.
8. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
You lose the right of withdrawal in respect of a fully performed service if:
- before performance of the service began, you gave express consent to begin performance of the service during the 14-day withdrawal period;
- you acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal as soon as the service had been fully performed;
- we have fully performed the service.
If, at your express request, performance of the service began during the withdrawal period, but at the time of withdrawal the service has been performed only in part, you must pay for the part of the service performed up to the time of withdrawal. The charge is calculated proportionately against the full service price set out in the contract.
You also lose the right of withdrawal in respect of digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium if downloading or other receipt of the content began with your prior express consent and you acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal.
Consent to earlier start. If the service starts during the 14-day withdrawal period, you must separately confirm during the ordering process your consent to start the service earlier and your acknowledgement that you will lose the right of withdrawal after the service has been fully performed.
9. Cancellation and rescheduling
If you cancel participation
This section applies to cancellation of participation after the 14-day right-of-withdrawal period set out in sections 7 and 8. This section does not limit the right of withdrawal.
To cancel participation after the withdrawal period, send an unambiguous notice to hello@eruditio.lv.
We deduct from the amount paid a proportionate charge for classes that have already taken place. Of the remaining value of classes not yet provided, we refund 50% and retain 50% as a cancellation fee. If no class has taken place by the time of cancellation, the proportionate charge for the part performed is zero and the cancellation fee is 50% of the amount paid.
We make the refund within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice. We make the refund using the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction.
If we cancel or reschedule the service
If we cancel the service, we offer a full refund or, if you expressly choose it, a place in another group or an equivalent service. If you do not choose another group or an equivalent service, we refund the full amount paid within 14 days after cancellation.
If we reschedule the start of the service, we inform you at least three calendar days before the start. If we reschedule a class in a course that is already in progress, we inform you at least three hours before the class starts.
Within three calendar days of receiving the rescheduling notice, you may choose a new date, a place in another group, an equivalent service, or a refund for the unperformed part of the service. If you do not reply within that period, we do not treat that as consent to the rescheduling and we refund the charge for the unperformed part of the service. We make the refund within 14 days of receiving your choice or, if you do not reply, from the end of the three-calendar-day reply period.
10. Intellectual property
Learning materials and other content provided in the course of the service are the property of SIA "GoodDay Nations". You may use them for personal learning purposes. Without our prior written permission, the materials may not be copied, published, distributed, transferred to other persons or used commercially.
11. Complaints

We provide a written reply within 15 working days of receiving a consumer's submission and inform you of the possible way of fulfilling the claim or resolving the dispute. If the complaint cannot be resolved, you may use the dispute-resolution means indicated in section 12.
12. Dispute resolution
We will first try to resolve the dispute by negotiation. Write to us at hello@eruditio.lv.
