Aśvinu piesaukšana Patiesi Pradžāpati izdeva ķēniņam Somam [Savitara] meitu Sūrju Sāvitrī, pēc tās par vedējiem ieradās visi dievi. Viņas vedību līgavas pūram viņš dāvāja šīs tūkstoš [vārsmas], kuras tie nodēvē par Ašvinu [šastru – piesaukšanu].
